Wilderness Christmas was inspired by living in Buena Vista, Colorado. The elevation is 10,000 feet and the rushing rivers often freeze. The moonlight reflection on snow is one of the most spectacular of natures creations. You can hear the deep silence by just viewing this scene. The crisp, cold, mist is contrasted by the warm glowing lights in the cabin windows and the reflections of decorations on the outside pine tree.
