Twilight Angel was inspired by a trip to Figueroa Mountain when the Lupine and California Poppies were in bloom this spring. The awesome Oak tree of the Central Coast has inspired and called to me for many reasons. The age, shape, shadows, structure and personal characteristics invites a close study and admiration when viewed from an artist’s perspective. The angel in this composition apparently just invited herself in. I’m not sure she came from.  Don’t you agree; her face is really angelic although she is portrayed in stone?
