Last year’s Art & Home Tour inspired this painting of an artist home who gave us permission to photograph her beautiful garden underneath this stately old oak tree. The setting was so charming and colorful I couldn’t resist the urge to paint it. My imagination added the stone and path and mailbox. I have yet to come up with a realistic image of what I started out to do, I am sure that is why creative energy is so addictive.
