This painting was commissioned by an award winning photographer from Florida. He took the picture in the Florida swamp area and found it to be very humorous that I put pine trees below the hawk. Artist are so blessed at the freedoms they have, in truth I did not realize at the time I painted his photograph that this Red Shouldered Hawk, only lives in Florida.
