These Humming Birds are a daily delight to watch. They love feeding from the feeder outside of my studio window and the Red Trumpet flowers, shown in the painting. The males are of such vivid color. The life span of a Humming Bird is only about three years because their heart beats 1200 times per second. Obviously, I am inspired and fascinated by these tiny wonders of nature.
